The battle at the 12th frontier post of the Moscow border detachment in the Republic of Tajikistan occurred on Tuesday, July 13, 1993. Afghan and Tajik militants tried to break into the territory of this country. The Russian military 11 hours repulse the enemy's attacks, 25 people were killed. After this, our retreated. Later on the same day, the outpost was repulsed. As a result of the battle, six border guards were awarded by title of Hero of the Russian Federation, including four posthumously.
