The rupture of the shrapnel and antiaircraft missile takes place in the air, near the target (an airplane or a cluster of infantry). In the 90s, this effect (the explosion of a projectile in the air) was created with the use of electric bursts - products manufactured for training in the army. Their use was hampered by the high altitude of the rise and rupture of shells (60-80 meters), the inconvenience of combining actions in the foreground (actors and extras) and explosions in the air behind them. Now this product isn't manufactured. Our company developed the effect of blasting a shrapnel projectile at a strictly defined distance from a pneumatic gun (from 5 to 50 meters) emitting pyrotechnic charge in any direction. This makes it possible to produce truthful and reliable shooting scenes with the effect of rupture of shrapnel projectiles on the front-middle plan with the participation of actors and the ability to combine the effect of hitting grapeshot into objects and people. Similar effects on medium and general plans are easier to create using computer graphics.
Shooting with pyrotechnic (fire-hazardous) means is carried out after notification and with the participation of the local emergency service and ambulance service. If there are actors in the frame, the presence of the stunt director, with whom the shooting technique is developed, is mandatory.
