Fire on the nature is simulated when using different foci of combustions (controlled and uncontrollable).
Primary importance in the filming of fires on the nature (especially in the forest) are weather conditions (wind) and the state of the environment and objects - the presence of dry grass and thickets, fire hazardous buildings, objects and materials. In the presence of unfavorable weather conditions, the simulation of a fire can grow into an uncontrolled fire, which can make shooting unacceptable on that day. On the set and around it it is necessary to conduct a complex of fire-fighting measures. Such surveys are conducted after notification and with the participation of the local emergency service and ambulance service. If there are actors in the frame, the presence of the stunt director is necessary, with who the shooting technique of the fire scene is developed. After the shootings, control is needed on the set and around it for some time to reveal the hidden foci of burning.
Uncontrolled foci of burning are often done with the use of liquid fuels, which requires high qualification from the personnel of the company special effects, high discipline on the site from the administration of the film crew - the observance of the regime of the cordon of the set. The next take is possible only after the complete elimination of the foci of combustion.
Our company has repeatedly conducted such surveys on the field sites of Mosfilm and others, in the pictures: "Zvezda", "Volkodav", "Domovoi", "Yaroslav", "Brest Fortress", "House of the Sun", "Viking" and others.
